Clinical Instructor (Physical Therapist Assistant)

The College of Applied Sciences and Arts (CASA) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for a Clinical Instructor within CASA's School of Allied Health's program in Physical Therapist Assistant beginning August 16, 2013, or until acceptable applicants are found.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program. Must be licensed as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant in the State of Illinois; have a minimum of an earned Master's degree in education or a health related field; and a minimum of three years experience as a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience and professional involvement.

Responsibilities: To teach physical therapist assistant courses in a curriculum as outlined in the program curriculum that emphasizes rehabilitation techniques, physical agents, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and clinical practicum.
