Assistant Professor (Human Nutrition)

POSITION: Assistant Professor (Human Nutrition)

QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in human nutrition, public health or related field at the time of appointment; record of scholarly activity; ability to collaborate with faculty in related disciplines; and ability to interface with existing commodity based research and education programs. Applicants with the R.D. credential and a background in public health or community nutrition are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and the broader community, as well as have potential for excellence in teaching.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. S/he will also be expected to develop a funded research program. Additional responsibilities to include: advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; serving on graduate student, departmental, and/or college committees; and performing community outreach activities.

SALARY: Salary is competitive and commensurate with professional experience.

APPOINTMENT: Nine month, tenure track.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
August 16, 2013 or until suitable candidate is hired.
