The Tax Officer shall be responsible for directing and maintaining a comprehensive federal, state, and local tax compliance program at Southern Illinois University,

The Tax Officer reports to the Risk Management and Tax Specialist, who reports to the Director of University Risk Management. The Officer will work closely with administrators and staff at each campus of Southern Illinois University. Occasional travel required.


Minimum Qualifications:

This is a security-sensitive position; the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check, prior to any employment offer.

Salary: $41,000 to $51,000 per year.

Effective Date of Appointment: November 15, 2012, or until filled.
