Position Title: Developmental Skills Training Specialist, Achieve Program Southern Illinois University Carbondale

Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s Degree with a minimum of one year of experience working with post-secondary learning-disabled students.

Responsibilities: This position must be cognizant of the needs of students with learning differences and disabilities, including students’ specific strengths and weaknesses. The person in this position must oversee case management and individualized program services for students, must train staff to effectively work with this population, and must consistently monitor the quality and effectiveness of program services to students. Experience and an understanding of learning differences and specialized post-secondary academic support programs is essential for this position.

Four positions are available. In addition to responsibilities listed above, each position has one of the following four responsibilities: recruitment of students, supervision of assistive technology, admission of students, or career counseling.
