The SIU Student Health Center is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Director, Health Promotion, Wellness and Prevention Services. This is a 12-month, full-time term appointment.

Required Qualifications: Masters degree in public health, health promotion, health policy, health education or closely related field required. Five years' full time professional health promotion experience required. Preferred: Experience in a higher education setting. Experience in sexual health or violence prevention.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Responsibilities: To administer, supervise, design, implement and evaluate campus-wide, evidence-based health education health promotion programs in the areas of stress management, nutrition and fitness, sexuality education, outreach programming, violence prevention, alcohol and other drug education. Collaborate in campus policy development focusing on health promotion and disease prevention to support positive student learning environments. Conduct needs assessments of the campus community to identify and address high-risk student behaviors with support and intervention services utilizing a holistic health care model.
