This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive prospect research and prospect management support, which is the basis for cultivation and solicitation of major donors to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The position collects historical gift and biographical information on SIU Carbondale alumni, donors, and prospects for eventual entry into Institutional Advancement’s information system. The position also assists the Director of Research with miscellaneous information conversion projects.

Qualifications: B.A./B.S. Experience utilizing computer technology as a research tool, word processing & database application experience required. Experience with Alumni/Donor Database is preferred. Strong written & verbal communication skills are required. Experience collecting and disseminating data in written form is required. Knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles is preferred. Prior Prospect Research experience is preferred.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Salary: $25,000 - $29,000. This is a term Administrative/Professional position.
