Description: Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Executive Director for Advancement Services (SIU Foundation). This position is responsible for administrative policymaking decision regarding the data management requirements to support the fund-raising and alumni activities of the SIU Foundation, and SIU Alumni Association, and the University as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develops and implements policy in concert with the Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations, the SIU Foundation Board, and the SIU Alumni Association Board. Responsible for the budget, staff supervision, and the day-to-day operations of the Advancement Services unit of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, including prospect management system, donor relations and research, data analytics, annual giving and membership. Responsible for the development and implementation of data integrity and security for the Advance alumni development information system. Oversee the efforts to raise funds through annual giving and membership for Alumni Association. Supports directly the office of the Vice Chancellor in the development and accountability systems for the fund-raising function of the Division as well for the execution of a comprehensive fund-raising campaign.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Through knowledge of Development and Alumni Relations, its priorities, and its decision making processes as well as minimum of five years experience in information systems, database management, and prospect and donor research. Prior supervisory experience is also required.

Preferred Qualifications: An ideal candidate will possess proven leadership and organizational skills, experience with comprehensive campaigns. Higher education advancement (development or alumni), healthcare, or arts organization experience preferred.

Compensation: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience; there is an excellent fringe benefits package.
