Description: Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Director Alumni Services (College/Student Relations). This position will work in collaboration with the campus community to establish and build alumni engagement strategies and opportunities. This position will serve as advisor to the student Alumni Council.

Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in a higher education setting, a bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field, experience managing, directing, and/or advising students; must posses excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with volunteers, students, and colleagues in organizing and managing programs, activities, and budgets, must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. This position may be required to travel to events to represent the organization - must work weekends and nights as needed. Computer literacy and a valid driver's license are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, proven strategic planning skills, experience in a higher education academic setting.

Compensation: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience; there is an excellent fringe benefits package.
