Assistant Lecturer/Clinical Assistant Professor (Daley College, Chicago, IL)

The Department of Technology in the College of Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Lecturer/Clinical Assistant Professor position beginning January 1, 2019. This is a term, 9-month, non-tenure-track appointment, with the possibility of summer appointment(s). The home base for the position is Daley College in Chicago, IL. The position supports the extended campus offering of the baccalaureate degree in Industrial Management and Applied Engineering currently offered in the locale. The position requires teaching of undergraduate courses in Industrial Management and Applied Engineering.

Qualifications: Earned master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) with at least one industry related degree (such as industrial technology, engineering management, industrial engineering) and at least five (5) years industrial experience or comparable teaching experience for the courses being hired to teach. For an individual holding a doctoral degree, the appointment will be at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Preference will be given to individuals with two (2) or more years of experience in program coordination or assistance.
