Assistant Professor (Sustainability)

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at SIU Carbondale invites applications for a full-time, continuing, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Environmental Engineering with a focus on sustainability. SIU Carbondale is located in Carbondale, Illinois and enrolls approximately 14,000 students. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is one of four departments within the College of Engineering. The Department offers Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS) and Master of Engineering (ME) degrees in Civil Engineering. A Ph.D. in Engineering Science is offered through the College. The BS in Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. The Department has 11 faculty members, approximately 160 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students.
