The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of organic chemistry, starting August 16, 2020.

The Department offers Ph.D., M.S., B.S. and B.A. degrees in various specializations. The selected individual will join a vibrant and interdisciplinary Department that has enjoyed continued success in obtaining major (NIH/NSF/DOE) federal funding, including 7 NSF CAREER Awardees and 1 NIH MIRA since 2000, and will be expected to develop and maintain a vigorous externally-funded research program, monitor graduate and undergraduate researchers, and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related field, with a specialization or focus in organic chemistry. Applicants must have at least one year of postdoctoral research experience, and a strong record of publications.

Effective Start Date: August 16, 2020
