Title of Position: Recruitment and Retention Coordinator (term full-time, Administrative/Professional position)

Qualifications: Master’s degree in a field included in the College of Liberal Arts. Minimum one year experience in student recruitment and retention at a major research-intensive university. Demonstrated record of coordinating and directing programs that promote student retention and success. Demonstrated experience working with Hobsons Connect and Retain databases. Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to work effectively with little or no direct supervision on multiple projects. Preferred experience with banner, Workflow or large databases.

Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent for this position is responsible to develop and implement enrollment strategies to attract and retain students for the College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) and to serve as the primary administrator to assist the Dean in developing and managing recruitment and retention goals. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating the recruitment and retention of students and efforts, such as: implementing communications (print and electronic) for CoLA and departments to prospective students, advising students on programs and services of CoLA (e.g. academic programs, admissions, financial aid, housing, student life, & graduate employment), assisting in admissions decisions and processing as requested; coordinating and conducting prospective student visits including tours & group presentations; planning & conducting enrollment-related events on/off campus; representing CoLA at community events and other special event programs; assisting in developing and maintaining relationships with community college/high school faculty/staff/students; identifying “at-risk for failure” and probationary students and designing personalized success plans to make satisfactory academic progress. Also working with other CoLA staff to manage business processes; & utilize student data management systems (e.g. Banner, Hobsons, Degree Works) for admissions processes and information. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean, such as:
