Title: Researcher II (Full-Time)

Qualifications: Applicants must hold an MA in Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology. Education and experience must be appropriate to the position with documented field experience on federal and state funded Phase I-III cultural resource management (CRM) archaeological projects in southern Illinois and the surrounding regions. Field experience must include a combination of professional experience in archeological survey, excavation, laboratory analysis, and report writing. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with ArcGIS and/or other mapping software, GPR remote sensing methods, faunal analysis, and historic and prehistoric artifact identifications and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities: Work assignments depend on the center’s needs and may include report writing; supervision of archaeological field projects; budgeting; prehistoric and historic archaeological artifact analyses; and supervision of CAI staff.

Date of Employment: As soon as possible.
