Position: Lecturer(s) (Non-Tenure Track, Part-Time), Paralegal Studies, SIU Carbondale. This position is contingent on available funding. The Paralegal Studies Program, Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking candidates for one or more part-time lecturers.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must possess a JD degree and be an active member of the Illinois state bar in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to a candidate with prior teaching experience and who has demonstrated knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas of law: Legal analysis, Writing, and Research; Introduction to Law; Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights; Business Entities, Corporate, and Partnership Law; and Family Law. Preference will also be given to a candidate who has substantial experience in the practice of Illinois Law as an attorney and who has worked closely with paralegal(s) or as a paralegal.

Duties: Teach one to two one-semester course(s) spring and/or fall semester(s). Some service duties may be assigned to assist the program director.
