Description of Position(s): Web Portal Site Content Specialist(s) (full-time) assigned to Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the Department of Workforce Education and Development located at the Center for Workforce Development in Springfield, IL.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Associate Director, primary responsibilities include developing, publishing, and managing web application content for new and existing websites for which SIU Center for Workforce Development is responsible, as well as feedback processes needed to ensure both project sponsor and customer satisfaction is met. This position requires the content manager to assist local, regional, and state workforce and education and other social service or community organizations with placing content on the sites, as well as developing and managing site default content.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Workforce Education and Development or related field, and at least two years of experience with a high level of workforce and economic development content knowledge, as well as knowledge of website implementation. The position requires interaction with a variety of staff in local Workforce Investment areas and the ability to effectively communicate and work well with individuals involved in the Workforce Investment system. The position requires excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail, particularly as it relates to new design features for Illinois workNet.

Appointment: This is a term Administrative Professional position to begin as soon as possible.
