Assistant Professor (Corporate Finance)

Position: One tenure-track Assistant Professor position; start date August 16, 2019

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Finance or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution by date of appointment, with specialization in Corporate Finance, and expertise in financial data analytics. If all requirements for the doctorate have not been completed by August 15, 2019, a one-year term appointment at the rank of Instructor and at a lower salary will be offered. Applicants must: 1) have potential to produce quality scholarly research publications (established record of publication preferred) in top tier journals in the field, such as Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, or Review of Financial Studies; 2) have potential to address the intersection of data analytics and finance by having the experience or ability to teach corporate finance and financial data analytics at the undergraduate and the graduate levels, including the PhD seminar in Corporate Finance.

Duties: Maintain an active program of research publishable in leading journals. Teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in financial data analytics and corporate finance (including the Corporate Finance PhD seminar). Supervise and mentor graduate students. Engage in rank-appropriate service to the Department, College, University, and profession.
