Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in student development/student affairs/higher education or a business discipline. Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in university or community college settings working in financial aid, university budget management, enrollment management, or related field. A history of professional experience supervising staff members.

Preferred qualifications: Individuals with knowledge of institutional organization, policies, procedures, and administrative practices used in higher education. Individuals with experience increasing activity with limited budget and resources and extensive knowledge of Title IV financial aid programs. Knowledge of business and fiscal management of university budgets as well as federal, state, institutional, and local sources of student financial aid. Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff members.

Duties: Reporting to the Associate Chancellor for Enrollment Management, the Director of Financial Aid will work with the Associate Chancellor and other university leaders to set financial aid policies as well as directs the university Financial Aid Office through development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive financial aid services for students from federal, state, institutional, and private sources. The Director is responsible for the management and administration of the student Financial Aid Office and its functions, including but not limited to the accounting operations, budget preparation, preparation of Federal, State, and Institutional reports, maintenance of Federal fund budgetary control and regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations governing student aid programs. The Director is also responsible for helping students achieve their educational potential by providing appropriate financial resources and to make every effort to assist students with financial need.
