Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, founded in 1869 as the state's second teachers college, is the flagship campus of the Southern Illinois University System. Duties: Reporting to the Associate Chancellor for Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions will work with the Associate Chancellor and other university leaders to set admission policies as well as recruitment and yield strategies to meet the University's enrollment goals. The Director is responsible for leadership, oversight and management of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and all its functions (recruitment, communications, operations, campus visits) and for leading university wide undergraduate recruitment and outreach efforts that support those efforts. The Director is also responsible for the processing of and making decisions on all undergraduate applicants.

Qualifications: A masters degree is required, with preference for a degree in student affairs, business, public relations or closely related field. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in admissions, student recruitment, or enrollment management. Personal and professional commitment to diversity and staff development is strongly preferred, as demonstrated by persistent effort, active planning, allocation of resources, and/or accountability for diversity and staff development outcomes. Demonstrated analytical skills related to budgets, program and initiative assessment are desired.
