Academic Advisors, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Responsibilities: Counseling and mentoring student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, coordinating student-athlete academic services, overseeing academic and scholarship nominations.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and 3 academic years experience in collegiate teaching, academic advising, counseling or student development, excellent computer skills and communication skills. Master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of required experience.

This is a security sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Appointment: 12-month term, full-time, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Multiple positions may be available, depending on departmental needs.
