Position Summary: Distance Education Compliance Coordinator, 12-month term appointment with reappointment contingent on job performance in SIU Extended Campus at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. This position is contingent on available funding.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Distance Education Compliance Coordinator is responsible for oversight of Memorandums of Understanding/Agreements in addition to other vital duties which are crucial to SIU Carbondale's operations in the various states. Ensure that MOU's/Agreements are negotiated and signed prior to expiration. Processing and completing state compliance forms and packets. Responsible for coordinating commencement exercises for off campus sites. Stay abreast of military policies and procedures, State Approving Agency policies and procedures and VA policies and procedures; incumbent will answer questions from the various external agencies or base personnel concerning these documents. May be required to travel to attend meetings and trainings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience working in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with state approval agency applications. Experience with policy compliance and Memorandum of Understanding coordination. Strong work ethic, character, and personal integrity, and ability to work with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities. Individual should have great attention to detail, be very organized, ability to follow through on matters, ability to work without constant supervision, and be able to understand regulations, policies and procedures which may affect SIU Carbondale’s operations in the various states. Should possess strong writing, analytical, evaluative, organizational skills and the ability to work well in a time-sensitive, dynamic office environment.
