Head Coach (Women's Soccer)

Position Summary: Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley and Missouri Valley Football Conferences.

Duties and Responsibilities: The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the women’s soccer program, including recruitment of qualified student-athletes; promoting the welfare and academic progress of student-athletes; practice and game preparation; budget management; scheduling and scouting; participating in fundraising and public relations activities and departmental meetings; performing the daily administrative duties of the program; supervision of assistant coaches and the overall administration of a Division I women’s soccer program in accordance with institutional, NCAA, and MVC rules. Must pass NCAA off-campus recruiting exam.

Appointment: 12-month term, full-time, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of collegiate soccer coaching experience.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an NCAA Division I Head Coach, demonstrated success in competition and recruiting ties to the Midwest.
