Instructor (Full Time) (Behavioral and Social Sciences)
TITLE: Full Time (100%), Non-Tenure Track, Continuing, Instructor in the Medical/Dental Education Preparatory Program (MEDPREP) in the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Carbondale.
QUALIFICATIONS: M.S. degree required, preferably in the behavioral and social sciences or a related field. Prefer experience in teaching at the college level, particularly in the behavioral or social sciences. Prefer demonstrated work experiences in health professions programs involving disadvantaged and minority students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach orientation and medical seminars (professional development for medical school), coordinate and monitor clinical experiences. Advise students and serve on departmental committees as assigned. Develop and teach a course related to the 2015 Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) psychological, social, and biological foundations of behavior subtest.
