Title: Academic Support Specialist.

Qualifications: Qualifications for this position include a minimum of a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, College Student Personnel, Education Administration, or a related field; one year of experience in a college setting and one year of demonstrated ability to respond to and identify with personal and academic needs of first-generation, low-income, or disabled college students. Preferred experience with TRiO programs.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position are to direct, assist, and counsel students in making appropriate personal, education, and career choices. Coordinate program activities by working with staff to enhance students' developmental skills through implementation of educational services and workshops. Select and enroll students. Evaluate student performance and service and maintain student records.

Salary: $2,196 to $3,294 with a midpoint of $2,745 monthly.

Effective Date of Appointment: As soon as possible.
