Interim Chair (Associate Professor or Professor)

Responsibilities of the Position: This position is appointed by and reports to the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services. The Interim Chair will be the chief administrative and fiscal officer of the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education and will be responsible for fiscal and personnel management, recruitment and retention of students, academic leadership, program development and evaluation, encouragement of research development for faculty and students, and promote service activities to various educational communities. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Interim Chair may teach courses and will be expected to continue a program of professional development in her/his discipline.
Qualifications: This position requires a person who holds the rank of associate professor or professor and on current assignment in the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who possess or can demonstrate skills in providing professional and academic leadership.
